A Clue found in Book 3 sends Amy and Dan jetting off to find out just what's behind the fierce rivalry between the Tomas and Ekaterina branches of the Cahill family. Was a Clue stolen from the Tomas branch? Where is it now? And most important, can Amy and Dan get their hands on it before their rivals do? It's a wild race that will take Amy and Dan deep into the bowels of the earth . . . and right into the hands of the enemy.
My thoughts:
I think Beyond the Grave is probably my favorite 39 Clues book so far! This time we were off to Egypt and we got a couple new characters . . . Theo (who Nellie fell for right away!) and his grandmother (an old friend of Grace's!). We also see a little softer side to Irina, deep in an Egyptian tomb. Of course, keeping with the theme of the 39 Clues, Amy and Dan trust someone and before the end of the book, they're betrayed . . . again! Even Uncle Alistair makes a return appearance to help the kids search for a Clue under the Nile!

I really enjoyed this book with its crocodiles, hilarious airport scenes (too bad Jonah wasn't detained indefinitely, huh?), and Nellie's crush on Theo. It seems to be a running pattern that Nellie is the only one Amy and Dan will be able to trust. Final verdict: this book is so much fun and I'm really enjoying the series!

My recommendation: As with the other books in The 39 Clues series, I recommend this one to young and old alike! Great for all ages!
